What you need in order to present a charity.
The rules:
Only members who have signed up/paid either the annual donation upfront or the monthly donations can present a charity.
Presentations must follow guidelines.
Outside/non-members are not allowed to present.
There is a five-minute time limit for the presentation and five-minutes for questions.
At this time, we do not allow for slideshows or videos.
To receive funds the charity must be a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization or have a 501(c)3 fiscal agent.
If we find out after the meeting that your charity is not a 501(c)3, the money will be awarded to the second-place presenter.
The charity must serve the Ankeny area (but not exclusively).
There must be an immediate and specific need for the funds — preferably to be completed over the next 30 - 60 days.
We do not provide money for administrative fees or long or reoccurring expenses. The charity must agree that no administration fees will be paid with this donation.
The charities that receive funds provide a follow-up at the next quarterly meeting.
The one not chosen to receive funds cannot be presented again the following quarter.
Once all information is received by 100 Women Who Care Ankeny, a check will be cut and delivered.
> We will need the charity name, EIN number, address, contact (include name, email and phone), and to whom the check is to be written. Please fill out the form ahead of time so that we can verify the charity.
> The ceremonial/big check presentations and pictures will be held at the next meeting.
An organization that receives the top amount of $ for the quarter needs to wait to be presented again for two years (8 quarters).
An organization that receives the lesser amount of $ for the quarter needs to wait to be presented again for one year (4 quarters).
